PUNJAB GOVERNOR AND UT ADMINISTRATOR PRAISED BHARAT VIKAS PARISHAD ON COMMENDABLE WORK FOR HEALTH SERVICES

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, visited the Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Medical Diagnostic Center at Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24, Chandigarh, today. During his visit, the Governor closely observed the extensive range of affordable healthcare services provided by the center and interacted with the staff, doctors, and beneficiaries.

Expressing his admiration for the remarkable efforts of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Sh. Kataria remarked, “It is commendable to see such impactful healthcare services being provided in a compact space at such affordable rates. This initiative is a shining example of selfless service, and other organizations should take inspiration from this model.”

The Governor was briefed on the center's operations, which include state-of-the-art diagnostic services like blood tests and MRI scans at nearly one-fourth of market rates. He also visited the modern eye care center and eye bank, which conducts corneal transplants, and reviewed the facilities offering specialized services in orthopedics, dermatology, gynecology, ENT, and dentistry. The center caters to approximately 1,500–2,000 patients daily and around 4.5–5 lakh people annually.

Secretary Social Welfare , Smt. Anuradha S Chagti, Director Social Welfare, Smt.Palika Arora and the center’s directors and office bearers, were also present.
