The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has urged the Punjab Government to reconsider its decision to shift Pharmacy and Paramedical Colleges from Technical Universities to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, stated that these colleges have been functioning under I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU), Jalandhar and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda for many years. He informed that around 49 B.Pharmacy colleges are affiliated with IKG-PTU, Jalandhar, while approximately 20 B.Pharmacy colleges are affiliated with MRSPTU, Bathinda.

S. Manjit Singh, Patron, Joint Association of Colleges (JAC), urged the Government to convene a meeting of all stakeholders, including students, staff, college managements, and representatives of the Technical Universities, to seek their feedback before implementing such a significant decision.
