23.177 KG OPIUM RECOVERED BY POLICE

The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have nabbed two drug smugglers and have recovered 23.177 kg opium from them.

While divulging details, SSP Saumya Mishra said that following the inputs a trap was laid by the sleuths belonging to CIA near Talwandi Bhai. The SSP said that both the accused identified as Succha Singh, resident of Gulami wala village and Saraj Singh resident of Acche Wala village, were under scanner and the teams had been following their movement.

“Yesterday, when the accused were coming from Madhya Pradesh to Ferozepur on a car (PB 05 AP 0300), they were stopped on the naka at Talwandi Bhai. During the search, 23.177 kg opium had been recovered”, said SSP.

The accused had been booked under sections 18, 61, 85 of NDPS Act at Talwandi Bhai police station (FIR No. 02.10.2025).
