PUNJAB DECLARES HOLIDAY ON JANUARY 14 IN VIEW OF MAGHI MELA IN SRI MUKATSAR SAHIB DISTRICT

According to a notification issued by the Personnel Department of the Punjab Government, a local holiday has been declared in all government offices, boards/corporations and educational institutions of District Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab on 14 January 2025 (Tuesday) in view of Maghi Mela. This holiday will also be applicable only in District Sri Muktsar Sahib.

The Chief Secretary of the Government of Punjab, K. A. P. Sinha. said,  notification have been sent to all the Special Chief Secretaries, Additional Chief Secretaries, Financial Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries of the State of Punjab for information and action.

Apart from this, this information has also been sent to the heads of group departments, Divisional Commissioners, Registrar of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
