Two blasts reportedly occurred near two nightclubs in Sector 26 in the upscale Sector 26 of Chandigarh on Tuesday morning. The explosions were believed to have been caused by crude bombs. The explosion took place around 3 to 4 AM on Tuesday morning when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle threw a low-intensity bomb at the nightclubs.

One of the two bars, Seville belongs to Bollywood singer Badshah. However, De'Orra does not belong to Badshah as per Chandigarh Police and Seville is next to it. According to sources from Chandigarh police, the incident cannot be clearly says is a bomb, as the substance used was potash with crackers, which was in a very large quantity. The sources further said that it may be a case of demand of extortion.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. However, the blast caused damage to several window panes. The forensic teams of Chandigarh Police are currently investigating the matter. More information about this incident is awaited,.
