DAV Abohar campus students won many prizes in the PU zonal youth festival 2024-25 for Zone-4, held at Maharaja Ranjit Singh College, Malout.
DAV College, Abohar principal Dr. R.K. Mahajan said that the college picked up the overall third position (second runner up trophy) at the festival. The college got first positions in Debate, poster making, cartooning, muhavredar vartalap, Phulkari and individual first positions in Kavishri, skit, One act play. In all, the college got Eight first positions, 10 second positions and nineteen third positions.
Gopichand Arya Mahila College principal Dr Rekha Sood Handa said that students of the institution won 27 prizes in the festival. Raina Setia won first prize in essay writing, Kanishka Singla won first prize in poetry writing competition.
Sakshi got first prize in photography and Ashanpreet Kaur got first prize in singing competition. Rajasthani dance Kalbelia won the second prize in the general dance category. Navneet Kaur and the group won the first prize in Ladies Traditional Song, Navneet Kaur individually also won the first prize.
