PROPERTY OF THE DRUG SMUGGLER SEIZED

Tightening the noose around the drug peddlers, the police has freezed the property worth Rs. 17 lakh of a drug smuggler at Maste ke village in Mamdot area. 

While divulging details, SSP Saumya Mishra said that today the police freezed the property of a drug smuggler identified as Samar Singh alias Samra who had been booked in an NDPS case in 2017. 

 “The accused had been booked under sections 18/21/25/29/30/61 of NDPS Act at Arif ke police station on November 30, 2017 following recovery of 3.270 kg heroin, 270 gram opium and drug money of Rs. 4 lakh. Today the police has seized the residential house of the accused measuring 6.20 marlas worth Rs. 17.5 lakh at Maste ke village, said SSP Mishra.

 Notably, this year the police seized the properties of the drug smugglers worth Rs. 2.85 crores in ten cases while last year, the properties worth Rs. Rs. 14.76 crore in 31 cases were freezed. 

THREE NABBED WITH 502 GRAM HEROIN AND DRUG MONEY

In other incident, the police have nabbed three drug peddlers and have recovered 502 gram heroin and drug money of Rs. 4 lakh from them. 

SSP Saumya Mishra said that following the inputs, a trap was laid by the police near Hamad village in Lakho ke Behram area during which the police nabbed the accused identified as Lovejeet Singh, Baljinderjit Singh (both residents of Tarn Taran district) and Magh Singh resident of Peer Ismail Khan village in this district and recovered 502 gram heroin and drug money of Rs. 4 lakh while they were coming towards Lakho ke Behram from Guddar Dandi village. 

The accused have been booked under section 21 of NDPS Act at Lakho ke Behram police station (FIR No. 78 Dated 17.09.2024).
