ST. JOHN’S HIGH SCHOOL ALL INDIA DEBATE COMPETITION : A SHOWCASE OF INTENSE DEBATING TALENT

St. John’s High School hosted the fifth edition of its highly anticipated St. John's All India Debate Competition, bringing together some of the brightest minds from across the nation. This prestigious event, known for its intense debating sessions and excellent display of talent, spanned over two days, featuring multiple rounds of rigorous debates on a wide range of topics, from contemporary issues to philosophical discussions.

With participants hailing from top schools across India, this debate is a platform where eloquence, critical thinking, and intellectual prowess are on full display.

(SUBHEAD)The chief guest was Mr. Sundeep Sikka, ED and CEO, Nippon Life Asset Management Ltd. who inaugurated the event on Saturday 24 August. The presence of esteemed judges, including renowned academicians, legal experts, and public speakers, ensured a high standard of evaluation for the debaters.

Mr Tejveer Singh (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Depts. Of Local Government, Industries & Commerce and IT was the Guest of Honour for the Award ceremony. The Mega Prize of ₹1,00,000 was awarded to the winning team from St. Columba’s School, New Delhi.

Apart from the mega prize, there were also other exciting awards for Best Speaker, Best Rebuttal, and Best Interjector.

As the fifth edition, this debate carried forward the legacy of fostering critical thinking and articulate communication, values that St. John’s High School has always fostered in its own students.
