The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) achieved a significant breakthrough today. The ACB team filed a case against six individuals, including three police officers and three private persons, in Hisar district on bribery charges. Among the accused, a private individual named Sanchit (resident of Gangwa) was caught red-handed by the ACB team while accepting a bribe of 4 Lacs, Actions are also underway to apprehend the other accused individuals.

According to a government spokesperson, the ACB received a complaint alleging that Sanchit, in collusion with certain police officers, demanded a bribe of ₹1,000,000 to avoid filing a case against the complainant under the NDPS Act. During the investigation, it was found that three private individuals, namely Sanchit, Sunil, and Ankush, along with three police officers, were involved in the scheme. The complainant had already paid ₹500,000 to the accused, who were now demanding the remaining amount.

Acting on these findings, the ACB team set a trap and apprehended Sanchit red-handed while he was accepting ₹400,000 in bribe money. The entire operation was conducted in a transparent and impartial manner. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the other accused individuals involved in the case.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau is collecting all necessary evidence and conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. The Bureau spokesperson urged the public to report any instance of government officials or employees demanding bribes for performing official duties. Such information should be reported immediately to the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau's toll-free numbers – 1800-180-2022 and 1064.
