It has been decided by the Chandigarh Administration to grant Special Casual Leave on 25.05.2024 &Public Holiday (already declared) on 01.06.2024 to all those employees of Union Territory Administration who are registered voters in Haryana and Punjab Parliamentary Constituency respectively where polling is to be held on 25.05.2024 & 01.06.2024 and also within the meaning of Section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881, to enable them to exercise their franchise.
This will also be a paid holiday in Industrial Shops and Commercial Establishment and for daily wages employees/ casual workers
