Raj Sadosh/Jalalabad (West)/Abohar.

330gm of heroin was today recovered under a joint search operation conducted by the Fazilka Police in collaboration with the BSF.

Under the supervision of Achhru Ram, DSP Jalalabad and Inspector Naveen Kumar, incharge Police Station Amirkhas, a search operation was conducted at Balel Ke Kamal, a village adjacent to the international border, along with ASI Mahinder Singh and BSF personnel.

A packet wrapped in yellow tape was recovered from the field. A small torch (toy type) was also found there. The police party took possession of the packet and torch and weighed it, including the torch. It was 330 grams. The recovered heroin seems to have been ordered from Pakistan by an unknown person.

A case under Sections 21/61/85 NDPS Act was registered at PS Amirkhas against an unknown person and further action is being taken. Joint operations will be conducted in the border area in the coming time as well.
