HARYANA CABINET GIVES NOD TO THE HARYANA POLICE (MERGER OF INDIAN RESERVE BATTALION’S POLICE PERSONNEL IN DISTRICT (GENERAL CADRE) RULES, 2024, THE CABINET ALSO APPROVED THE REMISSION OF STAMP DUTY AND WAIVER OF REGISTRATION FEE IN FAVOUR OF THE MAJRA COOPERATIVE MULTIPURPOSE SOCIETY LIMITED, MAJRA (BHALKHI) FOR TRANSFER OF LAND BY LAND OWNERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AIIMS

Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh here today accorded approval to the Haryana Police (Merger of Indian Reserve battalion’s Police Personnel in District (General Cadre) Rules, 2024.

The police personnel of Indian Reserve Battalions in the rank of Head constables, C-1 constables and Exemptee Head Constables/ constables shall be given an option to merge in District Police (General Cadre) after completion of 15 years of satisfactory service including completion of their Phase-I & Phase-II training. The Director General of Police, Haryana shall notify the number of vacancies to be filled up from amongst the Head constables, C-1 constables and Exemptee Head Constables/constables of Indian Reserve Battalions by January 31 of every year for various districts of the State.

All the Head constables, C-1 constables and Exemptee Head Constables/constables of Indian Reserve Battalions, who are selected for merger/joining in the District Police (General Cadre), shall undergo an Induction Training and District Practical Training for 3 months each. The training programme shall be mandatory and under no circumstances, it shall be exempted.

Formalization of an earlier decision on land for AIIMS, Rewari

The cabinet also approved the remission of stamp duty amounting to Rs 79,97,500 and waiver of registration fee of Rs 50,000 in favour of the Majra Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, Majra (Bhalkhi) for transfer of land measuring 28 acre 04 kanal 10 marla by ten land owners for the construction of AIIMS. The approval formalises a decision taken earlier when land for AIIMS at Rewari was provided by the farmers.

The excise policy has been approved for a period of one year starting from June 12, 2024

The Haryana Cabinet also gave nod to the new excise policy of the State for the year 2024-25. The excise policy has been approved for a period of one year starting from June 12, 2024 and has been brought with the approval of Election Commission of India. With the approval of this policy, the department will now start e-auction for allotment of retail vends for the next year. The auction will commence from May 27, 2024. The maximum number of retail L-2/L-14A vends will remain the same in the new policy.

The QR code-based Track and trace System that was introduced for IMFL and Country Liquor will be extended to Imported Foreign Liquor as well

The maximum basic quota of IMFL for 2024-25 will be 700 Lakh Proof Liters and the maximum basic quota of Country Liquor will be 1200 Lakh Proof Liters. The QR code-based Track and trace System that was introduced in 2023-24 for IMFL and Country Liquor will be extended to Imported Foreign Liquor as well. The Minimum Retail Sale Prices of Imported Liquor brands will be fixed by the department to streamline the business. There will be a slight increase in excise duty on IMFL and Country Liquor in the next policy year starting from June 12, 2024. Any person desirous of participating in the e-auction will be required to furnish Aadhar Card/ PPP (Parivar Pehchan Patra), Income Tax Returns for the last three assessment years and must have minimum net worth of Rs. 60 lakhs.
