10TH ANNUAL WOMEN ARTISTS EXHIBITION 2024 HELD AT PUNJAB UNIVERSITY

Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh attended as chief guest the 10th Annual Women Artists Exhibition 2024 at thr Galleries of Museum of Fine Arts, Punjab University, Chandigarh. Sh. Purohit inaugurated the exhibition and gave away prizes to the winners in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, PU, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Vig.

The chief guest, Sh. Purohit, congratulated the awardees and all the participants and also lauded the efforts of Artscapes for providing platform to women artists especially. He said that it is worth appreciation that Artscapes is bringing out the creativity of women on national level thoruh this Exhibition. Indian historic art can be seen in centuries old buildings and palaces where the art work and color are still intact. Even the murales, wall paintings and cave paitings of ancient India as seen in Ajanta, Ellora caves are a testimony of love for art in India. Fine art and visual art are powerful medium to express emotions.(SUBHEAD)

The Administrator said that the women are making their mark in all fields including the fine arts and visual arts. The daughters of India arer making the country proud on international level also. He said that the women will definitely play an important role in shaping up the future through their creative and artisitc way of expression.

Artscapes is a profitless and non-government establishment, brain child of Suraj Mukhi Sharma, that aims to encourage, reinforce and bring forth artistic talent in the various categories of artistry. It endeavors to create a sublime art in numerous categories i.e. Visual Art, Literary Art, Performing Art and Literature in India and Abroad and professional training subjects.

Artworks of 120 selected artists from across the globe, including India, are displayed at ‘Artscapes – The 10th edition of Annual Women Artists Exhibition 2024’ at the Galleries of Fine Arts Museum, Punjab University, Chandigarh. This exhibition shall remain on view till April 11, 2024.

4 Professional Category: Rs 50,000/-, 45,000/-, 40,000/-, 35,000/-
4 Student Category : Rs. 25,000/-, 20,000/- (2 each)
