CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION ENHANCED DC RATE FOR FINANCIAL YEAR, RELIEF TO THOUSANDS EMPLOYEES

In order to provide relief to thousands of employees of Chandigarh Administration who are drawing salary at D.C. rates, as notified by Chandigarh Administration every year, the D.C. rates for financial year 2024-25 have been enhanced and will be affective from 01.04.2024.

The official Order in this regard has been issued by DC office. These rates will be available for adoption by all Government officer, Boards, Corporations, Public Sector Undertaking and autonomous bodies of Chandigarh Administration. However, these offices of Chandigarh Administration will take their own administrative decision on adoption of these D.C. Rates for their employees.

(SUBHEAD)The Government offices, Boards, Corporations, Public Sector Undertaking and autonomous bodies of Central Govt., Govt. of Punjab, Govt. of Haryana or any other Govt. located in Chandigarh may take their own decision regarding adoption of these D.C. Rates for their employees. D.C. Rates have been revised keeping in mind various representations received by DC office. from Govt. Departments/Boards/Corporations and employee associations/unions.

Meanwhile in order to provide relief to the workers working in the organized and unorganized sectors who are getting wages as per minimum rates of wages under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 has been enhanced by the Labour Commissioner, Labour Department, UT, Chandigarh and the same shall be effective from 01.04.2023 to 30.09.2023 and 01.10.2023 to 31.03.2024.
