In the continuity of the previous arrested shooters, a team of Crime Branch Chandigarh Police on the direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime and close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar got a major success by arresting two accused i.e. Anmolpreet Singh and Parwinder Singh who provide the shelters, money and transportation to the arrested shooters and also arrested one lady namely Maya @ Kasish @ Pooja Sharma, associate of previous arrested shooters, who was absconding.
It is recapitulated that by following the thread of gang war, team of Crime Branch had arrested 3 shooters namely Sunny, Umang and Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger active members of Lawrence Bishnoi and GoldyBrar’s gang and recovered 2 pistols and 6 cartridges from their possession.
Apprehension of accused
As per the disclosure of Sunny and Umang, they stayed with Parwinder and Anmolpreet Singh, who provided them, shelter, money and transportation on the direction of GoldyBrar. They were also with them at the time of recci of district courts and other places. Both were apprehended on 28.2.2024 from TDI City, Sec. 111, Mohali and after interrogation both were arrested in the present case and their police remand was obtained. The vehicle No. CH01BP-6918 verna car used in the Crime was also recovered.
As the team of Crime Branch gathering technical and human intelligence to know the whereabouts of absconding lady Pooja Sharma and got secret information that she will left the Chandigarh via bus from ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh. Acting upon this information, swiftly action was taken and she was apprehended from ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh and arrested in the present case after getting the permission from hon’ble court.

INVESTIGATION TILL TODOAY:
From the preliminary investigation Maya @ Pooja Sharma disclosed that she came in contact with History Sheeter Rakesh @ Honey, presently lodged in Sikar Jail, Rajasthan through Instagram at about 1 ½ year ago and she expressed her desire to become Gangster as well as want to meet RohitGodara as she love him.
Rakesh communicated with Rohit Godhara through Signal App and introduced her with him. RohitGodhara provided her Rs. 25,000/-, one phone to her and asked her to reach Chandigarh, rest of the directions will be given time to time. On the direction of Rohit Godhara she reached Chandigarh and one boy came to picked her and stayed in Hotel at Nayagaon.
Then she left Nayagaon and stayed in Hotel, Bus Stand Sector 43, Chandigarh. She met Sunny and Umang near Mohali Court, recci the court premises and went to Elante mall where they purchased the dress of Advocate one for man and other for women. Sunny and Umang also stayed in hotel at Bus Stand Sector 43, Chandigarh.
Then they recci the district court in the uniform of advocates. She broken the phone provided by RohitGodharaand Sunny &Umang provide her a new phone. After separation from Sunny and Umang, she also broken the phone provided by Sunny and Umang, Stayed in different hotels in Chandigarh. RohitGodhara provided her a weapon through someone and who took her at his flat. She also purchased a new phone from Nayagaon.
As the news regarding the arrest of Sunny, Umang and Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger was published, RohitGodhara directed her to hide the weapon and leave the Chandigarh as soon as possible. When she was trying to flee away from Chandigarh, she was arrested from ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh and lady dress of advocate was recovered from her purse.
She was produced in the hon’ble court and her 4days police remand was obtained. Further investigation is in progress to arrest her associates who provide shelter to her.
