HARYANA STATE ENFORCEMENT BUREAU CONDUCTS A SPECIAL CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL MINING

Haryana Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij informed that on February 7, 2024, a campaign against illegal mining was carried out by the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau. Under this campaign, raids were conducted at 120 locations, inspecting 748 vehicles, of which 99 vehicles were seized.

While giving information in this regard, Sh. Vij explained that 99 vehicles, illegally transporting soil, ‘sand’ and ‘bajri’ were confiscated. This includes 15 tractor-trolleys, 39 tippers/dumpers, 3 JCB/other vehicles and 42 overloaded vehicles.

It is noteworthy that Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij has directed officers of the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau to intensify the campaign against illegal mining in the state with greater rigor and effectiveness. In this regard, he has warned individuals involved in illegal activities to refrain from illegal activities, as otherwise, strict action will be taken by the Enforcement Bureau.

ADGP, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, Dr. A.S. Chawla, emphasized that implementing rigorous targeting of these antisocial elements across multiple locations will undoubtedly yield positive results.
