EXCISE DEPTT. CONDUCTS INSPECTION AT BOTTLING PLANT ZANNAT BEVERAGES, STOCK DISCREPANCIES FOUND

The Excise Department conducted an inspection at bottling plant namely M/s Zannat Beverages Private Limited, Industrial Area, Phase-I, Chandigarh. During the inspection, discrepancies related to stock of ENA (Spirit) have been found. Subsequently, necessary action will be taken after giving fair opportunity of hearing to the licensee, and following due process ,before the court of Competent Authority.

The Excise Department has been proactive in monitoring of Bottling Plants and ensuring compliance of Excise Regulations.

The Excise Department will continue taking stringent action against any individual or establishment found involved in such illegal activities. Those found involved in duty evasion will be held accountable under Excise laws.

The department is also examining referring the matter for criminal investigation.
