CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION TO CONDUCT MOCK EXERCISE ON EARTHQUAKE SCENARIO IN COLLABORATION WITH NDMA

In a proactive step towards disaster preparedness, a meeting regarding Conduct Mock Exercise on Earthquake Scenario was held under the chair of Anisha Shrivastava, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at the UT Guest House. The meeting was held via video conference.

During the deliberations, it was unanimously decided to conduct a Mock Exercise on Earthquake Scenario across different locations in Chandigarh. This initiative aims to enhance the city's resilience and preparedness in dealing with such calamities effectively.

The exercise will be conducted under the guidance and support of both the Chandigarh Administration and the NDMA. It underscores the commitment of the authorities towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens.

This collaborative effort signifies the importance of coordinated action and proactive measures in mitigating the impact of natural disasters. All stakeholders are urged to actively participate and contribute towards making this exercise a success.

Sub Divisional Magistrates, Officers from Education, Engineering, Public Relations, Fire, Police, Home Guards and other Departments participated in the meeting.
