PUROHIT INAUGRATES ATTENDANT HALL, SCHOLAR HALL, PARK AND LIFT AT LAJPAT RAI BHAWAN

The Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh Sh. Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated the Attendant Hall, Scholar Hall, Park and Lift at Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector 15-B, Chandigarh in the presence of former Members of Parliament, Sh. Satpal Jain and Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal.

The event marks the 158th birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai.

The newly inaugurated Attendant Hall is to facilitate the stay of attendants with patients of PGI. While the Scholar Hall shall cater to the PhD scholars who need space to stay and study. The park will be used by children to play and yoga centre.(SUBHEAD)

Sh. Purohit paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai and said that the contribution of Lalaji in Indian independence struggle is immeasurable. Shri Banwarilal Ji Purohit Governor Punjab recalled the freedom moment and role of Lala Lajpat Rai and other freedom fighters. He appealed to the people to root out the corruption from the civil society.

Sh. Purohit praised the role of Servants of People Society in building a progressive India and assured all help to the Society. He further added that the freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai was born and brought up in Punjab therefore he was rightly called 'Shere-e-Punjab' and 'Punjab Kesari'. The tri of Lal Bal and Pal inspired millions of people to live simple life and fight for freedom of country. Sh. Purohit also lauded the efforts of Lok Sewak Mandal (Servants of People Society) that has been serving the humanity since last 104 years. Sh. D.R. Bhatti Vice-Chairman of Chandigarh centre presented a Vote of thanks.
