In a major breakthrough, Chandigarh Police got a major success while cting against drug suppliers. A team of Crime Branch on the direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime and close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar nabbed drug supplier namely Lavjeet Singh and recovered 51.55 Grams Heroin from him.
On 19.01.2024 police party headed by SI Jasbir Singh was on crime control and prevention patrolling duty in the area of Police Station Sector-11,Chandigarh, while police party was near under bridge, Sec-11, Chandigarh, on suspicion one person was apprehended who disclosed his ame as Lavjeet Singh and 51.55 Grams Heroinwas recovered from his possession.Subsequently case FIR No. 11 Dt.19.01.2024 U/S 21 NDPS ACT, S-11, UT Chandigarhwas registered against him.

Lavjeet Singh S/o Sh. Sukhjeet Singh R/o Village- Dall, tehsil Patti, Distt- Tarantaran Punjab. Age-39 years..
Investigation so far.
From the investigation it come to notice that heis a resident of TaranTaran and used to purchase the drugsat low price from a drug peddler, who is resident of Tarntaranand sold it at high rates in the tricity to the students of colleges and drug addicts.
Accused Lovjeet Singh was produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand is obtained to ascertain apprehend the main supplier from Tarantaran.
