In a major breakthrough, Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against drug suppliers. A team of Anti-Narcotics Task arrested two drug suppliersnamely Mohmad Imtiyaz and Gagan and recovered 54.13 Amphetamine (ice), 98.08 Grams heroin and 150 grams gold was recovered from their possession in Case FIR No. 476 Dt.25.12.2023 U/S 22 NDPS ACT, PS-36, UT Chandigarh.The investigation of the case is still in progress.
To monitor drug situation in Chandigarh, The Chandigarh Administration restructure Anti Narcotics Task Force vide No. 565763-HIII (2)-2022/9455-A dated 15.06.2022. The team of ANTFis functioning on the direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime, with the close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Satvinder Singh.
(SUBHEAD)In the year of 2023, the team of ANTF worked days and nights with full dedication and untried efforts, ANTFsucceededin busting international and interstate drug syndicates. By following bottom to top level peddlers total 58 persons arrested in 29 NDPS Act cases and recovered drug approximately value of Rs.3,02,71,050/- and about Rs.1,00,00,000/- drug money and valuables articles.

PROMINENT CASES:
Case FIR No. 115 Dt. 28.07.2023 U/S 21, 27A, 29 NDPS ACT & added 25-54-59 Arms Act, PS-34, UT Chandigarh
In this case by breaking international chain of drug peddlers, 108 Grams Amphetamine Ice and 70 Grams Heroin (Commercial Quantity) have been recovered from the accused Shubham Jain @ Gourav on 28.7.2023, one country made pistol .32 Bore along with 5 live cartridges was recovered from Puneet Kumar, 22.96-gram heroin was recovered from accused PawanPreet Singh & Puneet Kumar and on the instance of PawanPreet accused Ravinder @ Ravi was arrested.
Further accused Chandan was arrested on the instance of Ravinder. During police remand of Chandan Rs.78,38,200/- (Indian Currency) and 107.52 grams heroin was recovered. Accused Jagjeet Singh @ Jagga was brought on production warrant from Ferozepur Jail. Hawala operator Money Kalra was apprehended from Delhi and later on arrested on 18.8.2023 and recovered Rs.22000/- from his possession, who was also wanted by NCB in drug money laundering case.

In this case by breaking interstate chain of drug peddlers, total 5 drug peddlers i.e. Gurpreet Singh R/o Vill. SangatpurDistt. Mohali, Aged 32 years, Jaswant Singh Vill. KotheDashmeshNagar,Teh. LohraDaska, Distt. Sangrur Age 40 years, Kan Singh Purawat S/o Shankar Singh Purawat R/o Makkariya, Khachrol, Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Age 35, Mangta S/o Vahda R/o # 2744 Vikash Nagar, MauliJagran, U.T, Chandigarh. Aged 51 years and Aashik Hussain S/o RafikMohd. R/o KumharMohalla, Bhadesar, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, Age 29 years arrested and 170 KG Poppy Husk recovered from their possession.
Case FIR No. 120 Dt. 15.10.2023 U/s 21 added 29 NDPS Act, PS-MM, UT Chandigarh.
In this case by breaking International chain of drug peddlers total 3 drug peddlers who smugglers Heroin from Pakistan through drone and then supply in Punjab and Chandigarh, drug peddlers namely Harpreet Singh @ Happy S/o Sukhwinder Singh R/o Vill-Jaintipur, Tech- Majitha, Distt-Amritsar, Pb. Age 28 yrs, Ranjeet Singh @ Rana S/o Inderjit Singh R/o Village-Dauke, District-Amritsar, Punjab, age-28 years and Ranjeet Singh @ Rana S/o Satnam Singh R/o Village-Dauke, District-Amritsar, Punjab, age-40 years arrested and 175.26 Heroin and Rs.12000/- drug money recovered from them.
Case FIR No. 06 Dt. 17.01.2023 U/s 20 NDPS Act, PS-39, UT, Chd.
In this case by breaking interstate chain of drug peddlers Parvesh S/o Sh. Sarv Mohan Sharma R/o House No.1740, Sector-39/B, Chandigarh, age-26 years and Bhavneshwar S/o Sh. Puran Chand R/o Village-Shalwad, PanchyatBagi, District-Mandi HP, age-26 years arrested and 4 KG &920 GmsCharas (Commercial Quantity) recovered from them.
Joint case with NCB:- In this case on the information of ANTF total 48 KG Ganja recovered and Shiva S/o KrishanPal R/o House 1003, Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula. The case was jointly operated with NCB Chandigarh.
