A FREE EYE EXAMINATION CAMP ORGANIZED AT THE AAM AADMI CLINIC

Under the ‘National Programme for Control of Blindness,’ a special series of eye examination camps for people above 45 years of age is underway. A camp was organized today at the Aam Aadmi Clinic located near JP Park in New Abadi, Abohar. Eye specialist Dr. Shalu Samaria examined the patients.

Experts said that problems related to the eyes, such as reduced vision, the need for spectacles, and other eye diseases, are increasing. Therefore, these camps are being organized to provide people with timely examination and treatment facilities. In these camps, eye screening, near-vision spectacles, and medicines are being distributed free of cost by specialist doctors.

 

Dr. Shalu Samaria, eye disease specialist, and Ophthalmic Officer Mangi Lal said that if cataract is found in any patient during the examination, then the operation and treatment will be provided completely free of cost at the government hospital. They said that during the camp held today, the vision of 110 people was examined, and free spectacles were provided by the department to 70 patients suffering from low vision.

From the Mass Media wing, Vinod Khurana, Manbir Singh, Divesh Kumar, and Paramjit Kaur were present
