AAP SARPANCH’S HUSBAND ATTACKED, CAR VANDALIZED

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

Bhojraj Siyag, husband of Manju Rani, sarpanch of village Taja Patti of Balluana area, alleged that some persons stopped his car on the way and attacked him with sharp weapons and vandalized the vehicle. He said that the attackers had carried out this incident due to election rivalry.

Siyag said that his wife Manju Rani had won the election for the post of Sarpanch as AAP candidate. Since then some people of the village have an electoral rivalry with him. He said that today at around 9 am, he was going for some work in his car. On the way to Gobindgarh from the village Taja Patti, about 7-8 unknown people, already sitting in ambush, blocked his path. The suspects attacked his car with sharp weapons and damaged the glass and other parts. The attackers also tried to take him out by forcibly opening the window of his car. He saved his life by driving his car at full speed.

The victim has given a complaint to the Sadar police station and demanded strict action against the suspects. Police have started an investigation based on the complaint and are collecting evidence including CCTV cameras installed around the incident site.
