AFTER FOUR-YEARS’ WAIT, ABOHAR CIVIL HOSPITAL GETS A GYNAECOLOGIST

ULTRASOUND CENTRE OPENS AFTER TWO YEARS

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

After nearly four years, a Gynaecologist has been appointed at Abohar’s 100-bedded Civil Hospital. A radiologist has been appointed after two years.

Gynaecologist Lavina Chaudhary has been appointed at the hospital and has taken charge. Female patients, especially pregnant women, will benefit, and normal as well as caesarean cases will now be possible here. Earlier, women had to pay Rs 25,000 to 30,000 at private hospitals in the city to undergo operation cases.

Dr. Lavina said that although her appointment will benefit female patients, operation cases will not be possible until a paediatrician and anaesthetist are appointed in the hospital. Without their support, it is impossible to perform delivery operations, so the government should appoint them on priority.

Radiologist Chandrashekhar said that earlier he worked privately as a radiologist, but now he has been appointed by the state government. Now ultrasound facilities will be available free of charges.
