Impressed by the working style of Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Shri Anil Vij, Sandeep Sharma, councillor from Ward No. 6 of the Municipal Council Ambala Sadar, left Chitra Sarwara and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today along with his supporters. In addition, Ashutosh, who had contested as an independent from Ward No. 6, also joined the BJP today. Energy Minister Anil Vij welcomed both leaders at his residence, presented them with party scarves, and greeted them amid a large gathering of workers. He said, “I set out alone toward my destination, but people kept joining and it became a caravan.”

Led by senior BJP leader and councillor Madanlal Sharma and Rural Mandal President Vikas Bahgal, councillor Sandeep Sharma, Ashutosh, and hundreds of people joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. On this occasion, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that the BJP family had grown today, with councillor Sandeep Sharma from Ward No. 6 joining the party along with hundreds of his associates.

Similarly, Ashutosh, who had contested the election, had also joined. He said that the BJP’s politics of development and work is visible today in the expanded development of Ambala Cantonment. “This is not my contribution alone; it is also the contribution of party workers and the people. We do not practise politics based on caste, community, or regionalism. We practise only the politics of development. When I joined the party in 1971, I was taught the same principle: politics is a means of service, and we enter it to serve. We have demonstrated this. Look at where Ambala was before me and where it has reached now. We have achieved all this development together, and we will take Ambala to even greater heights.”

Councillor Sandeep Sharma, who joined the BJP, said that he was impressed by the BJP and Cabinet Minister Anil Vij. “Minister Anil Vij is my political mentor. I have worked before as well, and Minister Anil Vij’s policies have influenced all of Ambala. He has carried out many development works that cannot be fully described. I have come with Minister Anil Vij and will work with him. Today, hundreds of people have joined the BJP with me. Anil Vij’s name is known across the country, and working with him will be a valuable experience.” The councillor said, “As long as the sun and moon remain, Anil Vij’s name will remain.” Ashutosh, who also joined the party, said that he was impressed by the BJP and would work under its leadership.

On this occasion, besides councillor Sandeep and Ashutosh, a large number of people and women joined the BJP, including Kati Rana, Jaswinder Singh, Malik Sharma, Jaspal Singh, Sanjay Bakshi, Surender Tanwar, Sher Singh, Man Singh Pehalwan, Ravinder, Kusum, Rajan Babbi, Surender Rana, Ravinder Tomar, Rajan Sharma, L.C. Sharma, K.K. Sharma, Surender, Jaspal, Naveen Sood, Desraj, Malkeet Singh, Sukhdev Sharma, Vimla Sharma, Rani, and Prabha Aggarwal.

Also present on the occasion were BJP leaders Sanjeev Soni, Atul Mahendru, Vijendra Chauhan, Bharat Kochhar, Sanjeev Atri, Sanjay Shishodia, Nitin Dhiman, Ravi Jat, Ajay Baveja, B.S. Bindra, Aarti Sahgal, Sadhna Rani, Anuj Yadav, Navinder Singh, and Deepak Deep, along with all mandal presidents and other party members.
