ANIL VIJ IS WITH YOU,  RECEIVED MEMORANDUM FROM PROTESTING ELECTRICITY EMPLOYEES

Face2News/Ambala/Chandigarh

Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij today arrived among thousands of protesting electricity workers who had gathered in Ambala from across the state, and his presence changed the atmosphere. The minister himself came amid the workers to receive their memorandum; he not only spoke with them but even added his name to their chants from the stage. Known for his outspoken style,

Minister Anil Vij reached the site where members of the HSEB Workers Union were demonstrating near his residence in Ambala cantt. Late in the evening, when the minister arrived at his home he stepped out of his vehicle and went straight into the crowd of workers. His arrival immediately altered the scene. The minister personally approached to receive the memorandum, which transformed the whole situation.

During this, Vij told the workers that he had come himself to take their memorandum, and that when he arrived they were chanting, “Stand up to every oppression; struggle is our slogan.” He suggested adding one more line to that slogan: “Stand up to every oppression; struggle is our slogan, and Anil Vij is with you.”

After reaching Ambala and receiving the memorandum from the hundreds of employees who had come from all over Haryana, Vij assured the electricity workers from the stage that a joint meeting of union leaders and departmental officials would be convened in the coming days to take action on their demands. He said the meeting would be held after a few days because his brother is currently admitted to PGI Chandigarh and the meeting will be arranged after his treatment.

On the workers’ demand for allowances, Energy Minister Anil Vij said he has already asked his office officials to prepare the relevant file and action will be taken on it.
