Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

The Social Service Wing of the Brahma Kumaris will conduct a massive five-day nationwide blood donation drive from August 21 to August 25. A blood donation camp will also be organized at the Civil Hospital, Abohar, on August 21.

Organized to mark the 19th death anniversary (observed as World Brotherhood Day on August 25) of former Chief Administrator Dadi Prakashmani, this mega drive aims to collect one lakh units of blood across India and Nepal. As part of this initiative, blood donation camps will be held at more than 6,000 service centers of the organization across the country. A large-scale camp will also be organized at the headquarters in Shantivan.

The national launch of the campaign was inaugurated by BJP leader Nitin Nabin recently at ORC, Gurugram. Previously, the Social Service Wing had collected a record 88,378 units of blood during a similar drive in India and Nepal in 2025.

BK Avtar Bhai, National Coordinator of the Social Service Wing, informed that the campaign is being organized with the support of various social and government institutions. Comprehensive records of every blood donor will be maintained. These camps will be monitored via Google Maps, capturing full details such as the location and date of the camp, donor names, timings, the number of donors, and the names of collaborating organizations.
