CHANDIGARH POLICE CRACK DOWN ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FIRM,

Stepping up the crackdown against illegal immigration firms, A team of Police Station Sector 26 achieved a Major success by arresting 02 accused involved in multiple FIRs relating to Cheating and Immigration fraud registered in Police Station Sector 26 Chandigarh.
 
Based on the complaint of Ms. Babita (on behalf of her brother Vivek Kumar) D/o Sh. Birender Kumar FIR no. 65 dated 23.05.2026 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 336(3), 340(2) & 24 Immigration Act was registered in PS Sector 26 against Yuvraj Sobti and Harneet Walia for committing Cheating and Immigration fraud with the complainant.

After the registration case on the bases of secret information accused namely Yuvraj Sobti and lady Harneet Walia have been arrested by team of Police Station Sector 26, Chandigarh. Both the above mentioned accused is found involve in multiple FIRs registered against them which are related to Cheating and Immigration fraud.

The detail of cases are mentioned below As per the allegation mentioned in the FIR it has been found that the accused are operating a firm by the name of M/S Truway consultancy Pvt. Ltd. MY SOHO Workspace, Timber Market Plot no. 10 Madhay Marg Sector 26 and they allured public that they can send them in New Zealand for work permit and Job placement. The accused promised to arrange everything including the job offer, visa filing and documentation. After collecting huge amount the accused closed their office and were not traceable.

The accused duped the complainant and others to the tune of Rs. 59,92,000/-. The investigation of the case is going on.

The accused identified as  Yuvraj Sobti  (44) S/o  Sh. Rajender Sobti  R/o # 93 Sector 123 Sunny Enclave SAS Nagar Mohali , graduat and working as  Immigration Consultant. The other accused identified as  Harneet Walia D/o Sh. Gurmohan Singh Walia R/o # 31 Ph-06 Mohali PB
Aged 41 years, graduate working as  Immigration Consultant
