Face2News/Ambala

A Haryana CM Flying inspector was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Kurukshetra, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5 lakh. The accused, identified as CM Flying Inspector Rajesh Kumar,

According to the allegations, Rajesh Kumar was accepting money to allow vehicles carrying illegally mined sand and gravel to pass without being stopped. A fixed monthly amount was allegedly being collected for allowing mining vehicles to move from Yamunanagar to Karnal without obstruction.

The ACB initiated an inquiry after receiving information from a complainant from Karnal and subsequently laid a trap to arrest the inspector while allegedly accepting ₹5 lakh.

The action has reportedly caused a stir within the CM Flying department. The ACB investigation into the matter is underway.

The Haryana ACB has been conducting a sustained drive against corruption and arresting government officials and employees allegedly involved in bribery. The bureau has also recommended to the government that officials and employees arrested on bribery charges should not be reposted to the same place from where they were arrested.
