The birth anniversary of Dr. SS Tantia, founder of the Tantia Group Sriganganagar), was observed as ‘Service Day’ on Thursday. Various programs focused on community welfare were organized under the leadership of Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairperson of Tantia University.
Program coordinator Manish Sachdeva said that a floral tribute and tree plantation at the memorial site within the university campus, a blood donation camp at the Jan Seva Hospital blood center, a free medical camp and fruit distribution at a center for the differently-abled, cow service (Gau-Seva), food distribution at the ‘Shakuntala Sadan’ government old-age home, and voluntary community labor on the Airstrip Road in Lalgarh Jattan were taken. Dignitaries and members who paid tribute to Dr. SS Tantia included Tantia University Chairperson Sunita Tantia, Dr. Vishu Tantia, Dr. Mohit Tantia, Dr. Neha Tantia, Architect Amisha Tantia, Vice-Chancellor Dr. MM Saxena, Dr. Praveen Sharma, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Godara, General Manager Dr. Vikas Sachdeva, Rakesh Verma, Senior Relationship Officer Raj Kumar Jain, Dr. Surjit Singh Kaswan, Dr. Ummed Singh Shekhawat, Dr. RPS Baghel, and Dr. PK Chakraborty. The Dr. SS Tantia Memorial Eye Donation Awareness Society facilitated the signing of pledge forms for eye donation.
A large number of students from the Sriganganagar College of Homeopathy donated blood at the camp organized at the Jan Seva Hospital blood center. Voluntary labor was performed on the Airstrip Road in Lalgarh Jattan village, with the participation of the ‘Mission of Hope and Integrity Together Society’ and the ‘Kisan Vikas Sahakari Samiti’.
At Jan Seva Hospital, Vice Chairperson Dr. Mohit Tantia distributed fruits to patients. Fruit distribution was also carried out within the hospital premises by the Valet Parking team. Physiotherapy and speech therapy assessments were conducted for children with disabilities during a free camp organized by the Divyangashram and Pankh Day Care Center. UDID cards were also prepared for the children. A meal was served to Pujyashree at Shakuntala Sadan, a government-run old age home located in the village of Khayaliwala.
