ED FILED A PROSECUTION COMPLAINT AGAINST M/S TARBIA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, before the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Saket, New Delhi, against M/s Tarbia Education Foundation, Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, Vinod Kumar, and Shriom Chauhan.

The individual accused persons were earlier arrested by ED during the course of the investigation. ED initiated investigation on the basis of FIRs registered by Delhi Police under various Sections of IPC, 1860 relating to fraudulent acquisition of land bearing Khasra No. 792 situated at Village Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi, through forged and fabricated documents including General Powers of Attorney and other title documents.

ED investigation revealed that the GPAs based on which land was transferred to M/s Tarbia Education Foundation had a date of 07.01.2004. Investigation revealed that multiple owners have deceased decades before the year 2004. Also investigation revealed that accused Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui and others conspired to forge signatures/
thumb impressions of original land owners to illegally grab the land.
Investigation has also revealed that, the GPAs were forged in the year 2012-13 just before the transfer of property to M/s Tarbia Education Foundation.

The accused Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui also created façade of banking transactions to project the land grabbing as genuine transaction in connivance with the other accused. Investigation also revealed that huge cash transaction has been carried out by Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui for this illegal land grabbing. The Proceeds of Crime involved in
the matter has been quantified at Rs. 47.76 Crore (approx).

ED has also attached the said land valued at Rs. 45.84 Crore which was illegally held by Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui and M/s Tarbia Education Foundation.  Further investigation is under progress.
