FIVE YOUTHS INVOLVED IN THEFT APPREHENDED

In Sardarpura village, some youths had allegedly stolen several quintals of wheat and a water motor from a house recently. Sadar police station has apprehended the suspects, they will be questioned in custody.

SHO Sachin Kamboj said that the previous day Vinod Kumar of Sardarpura, reported that he had come to Abohar for some urgent work and his wife was also not at home. During this time, some youths from the village entered their house and stole three sacks of wheat and the water motor installed on the tap. When they returned home, they discovered the theft. While investigating on their own, they learned that the incident had been carried out by Krishan, Ravi, Sukhdev, Nikku and Rakesh, all residents of the same village. On Vinod Kumar’s complaint, a case was registered against all the above youths under Sections 140(3) and 127 of the BNS, and a search was launched for them.

The SHO said that the police team has apprehended all five youths involved in the theft. It will also be ascertained to whom they sold the stolen wheat and motor so that action can also be taken against those who purchased the stolen goods.
