Four individuals from a family in Srikaranpur (Sriganganagar), including three women—tragically lost their lives in a horrific road accident on the Sriganganagar-Bikaner National Highway 62 today. The family had set out for Bikaner by car earlier this afternoon. Their car rammed into the rear of a dumper truck parked on the roadside. Upon receiving news of the accident, Mahipal—president of the social organization ‘Tiger Force’ in Loonkaransar—along with team members, rushed to the scene with the organization’s ambulance. They, along with others, extricated the occupants trapped inside the car and immediately rushed them to the government hospital.
Sandeep Sharda (25), his mother Jeevan Asha (65), and his aunt Sushma Sharda (62)—all residents of Srikaranpur—died at the scene, while Sandeep’s wife, Shrutika (24), succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. A team led by Police Inspector Ganesh Bishnoi arrived at the site after being informed of the accident. He stated that the families of the deceased have reached Loonkaransar, and a case regarding the accident is being registered. Post-mortem examinations are scheduled for tomorrow.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Sandeep and Shrutika had been married just seven months ago. Jeevan Asha and Sushma Sharda were retired government teachers; Sushma Sharda had retired as a school principal. A party had been organized in Bikaner for tonight to celebrate the birthday of Jeevan Asha’s brother’s granddaughter. Jeevan Asha was traveling to Bikaner with her son, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law to attend the celebration.
