Chandigarh Rowing Association (CRA) rowers Jaspal Singh and Yuvraj Singh Parmar clinched the Gold Medal in the Men’s Double Scull event at the Under-23 National Rowing Championship, held today at the Army Rowing Node, Pune.
The duo clocked an impressive 7:38.8, finishing ahead of teams from Odisha, Punjab, and Delhi to secure the top podium finish.
Sharing the achievement, Rajiv Sharma, Secretary of the Chandigarh Rowing Association, said that the championship serves as the selection trial for the Junior Asian Rowing Championship, which has been allotted to India and will be held in December 2026 at Army Rowing Node, Pune.
Congratulating the medal winners, Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Senior Advocate and President of the Chandigarh Rowing Association, praised the outstanding performance of the young rowers and expressed confidence that CRA athletes will continue their winning momentum at the Junior Asian Rowing Championship.
He said, “We are proud of Jaspal Singh and Yuvraj Singh Parmar for bringing glory to Chandigarh. We hope our rowers will continue this excellent form and win gold medals for India at the upcoming Junior Asian Rowing Championship.”
