HARYANA CABINET MINISTER RAO NARBIR SINGH INAUGURATES THE 7TH RAMA ATRAY WOMEN’S TWENTY-20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Haryana Cabinet Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh inaugurated the 7th Rama Atray Women’s Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament, which began at the Cricket Stadium in Sector 16, Chandigarh on Tuesday. On this occasion, Shri Rao Narbir Singh introduced the Punjab Cricket Association Senior Women’s Team and the UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh Team, and extended his best wishes and blessings to both the girls’ teams.

Speaking on the occasion, the Haryana Cabinet Minister said, “First of all, I would like to thank Shri Vivek Atray, Ex. IAS & Convener of the J.P. Atray Memorial Cricket Society (Reg.), Haryana, Shri Chandrashekhar (IPS) and former DGP of Punjab, Captain Sushil Kapoor, Organizing Secretary, and all the members of the Organizing Committee. First of all, I would like to thank Shri Vivek Atray , Ex. IAS & Convener of the J.P. Atray Memorial Cricket Society (Reg.), Haryana, Shri Chandrashekhar (IPS) and former DGP of Punjab, Captain Sushil Kapoor, Organizing Secretary, and all the members of the Organizing Committee. I congratulate all the members of the Atray Memorial Cricket Society (Reg.), Haryana, for consistently organizing the All India Women’s Cricket Tournament between five BCCI-affiliated state teams. I truly appreciate Mr. Vivek Atray, Ex IAS, and all the members of the J.P. Atray Memorial Cricket Society (Reg.), Panchkula, Haryana, who have been Continiouselly working for the past 30 years to promote cricket and provide an ideal platform for young male and female cricketers to showcase their skills and talent.

Minister said, I also congratulate all the members of the Society as they are beginning this year to present the Late J.P. Atray Annual Award to the most talented sportsperson. This award will be presented to selected young players in December each year, and scholarships and financial incentives will also be provided to experienced players, coaches, sports journalists, and sports mentors. I wish again all the women’s teams from all five states all the best for the prestigious 7th Rama Atray Women’s 20-20 Cricket Tournament. He also appreciat Mr. Amarjit Kumar   Tournament Committee member for promoting cricket.
