A protest march and candle march were organized by slain SC community youth Ajay’s family and the public to demand justice in the Ajay murder case. The participants expressed anguish over delay in arresting the accused in the September 27 incident.
The families affected by the Ajay murder have appealed to the Punjab government to ensure a fair and transparent investigation into the case, so that justice can be served. They have also requested the CBI to take over the investigation due to the seriousness of the case.
The family insists that a thorough investigation be conducted into all aspects of the case, and that any individuals found responsible be held accountable under the law.
It is reported that Ajay was shot on September 27 outside Shri Valmiki Mandir. After struggling for life, he succumbed to his injuries. This is a devastating loss for his family, who are now fighting for justice.
Through a peaceful march, the people demanded the relevant authorities to take the matter seriously and nab the accused. The protesters clarified that their demand is not for political gain, but to ensure justice for the affected family and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Now, all eyes are on the government and investigative agencies to see what their next move will be. Police had in the past used to arrest accused within a day or so but this case raises eyebrows over the delay in catching the accused.
