INDIA TODAY-2026 SURVEY: DAV COLLEGE, ABOHAR RANKED AMONG INDIA’S BEST PRIVATE COLLEGES

DAV College, Abohar, has been ranked among the best private colleges in North India in the India Today-MDRA 2026 survey. Expressing his delight on this occasion, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan said that the college achieved this milestone after applying for the survey and successfully meeting criteria across several parameters, including intake quality and governance, academic quality, infrastructure and environment, personality and leadership development, and career prospects and placements. This is a matter of pride for the entire Abohar region and the college itself.

Among the selected top colleges in India, the college secured the 72nd position overall for its BCA program and the 2nd position among colleges in Punjab affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. For the B.Com program, it ranked 84th nationally and 1st among Panjab University-affiliated colleges in Punjab. In the Arts stream, it ranked 79th nationally and 1st among Panjab University-affiliated colleges in Punjab. In the Science stream, it ranked 93rd nationally and 1st among Panjab University-affiliated colleges in Punjab. For the BBA program, it ranked 111th nationally and 1st among Panjab University-affiliated colleges in Punjab.

DAV College had previously secured the 46th rank among the country’s best colleges in the Education World 2021-22 survey. It also consistently featured among the top 100 colleges in the country in India Today surveys (2019–2025) and Outlook India surveys. Additionally, the college has been awarded ‘Star College’ status under the Star College Scheme of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the title of ‘Community College’ by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Furthermore, a significant number of students secured employment through campus placements during the last academic session.
