The Chandigarh chapter of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Wednesday announced details of the upcoming Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav, scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from August 12 to 15. The event aims to strengthen the national campaigns of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local, and Local to Global.

Addressing a press conference, CAIT Chandigarh Chapter President Harish Garg said India is emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, with traders playing a crucial role in this transformation. He said the trade fair would provide a common platform for small, medium and large businesses, industrialists, startups and indigenous product manufacturers to showcase their products and services to national and international markets.

Garg noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vocal for Local” and “Make in India” initiatives have given Indian trade a new direction and identity. He described the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav as a significant step toward connecting Indian businesses with global markets.

CAIT Chandigarh General Secretary Bhimsen said the entry and registration process for this year’s event has been made fully digital. Participants can scan a special QR code on the invitation card to access the registration form and receive instant digital confirmation and entry credentials after completing the process.

He added that the QR-based system would ensure fast, secure and hassle-free access for thousands of traders and visitors while supporting the Government’s Digital India mission.

Vice Presidents Naresh Garg and Raj Kumar Singla said the fair would open new avenues for the business community by providing opportunities to interact directly with investors, exporters, industrialists and technology providers from India and abroad.

Treasurer Umesh Gupta said the event would showcase India’s economic strength, entrepreneurial spirit and the quality of indigenous products before a global audience, while creating new business opportunities for traders across the country.

The CAIT office-bearers urged traders, industrialists, entrepreneurs, youth and citizens from across India to participate in the event and contribute towards strengthening the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat while helping Indian businesses reach new heights.
