MAYANK FOUNDATION HONOURED FOR PROMOTING VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION

 Mayank Foundation, was honoured for its sustained contribution towards promoting voluntary blood donation and organising regular blood donation camps in the district. The honour was presented by Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh during a State-Level NGO Conference and Award Function organised by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab, in Chandigarh.

Vice President Rajiv Setia and Deepak Mathpal received the honour on behalf of the Foundation and also participated in technical sessions on strengthening the voluntary blood donation movement. The sessions focused on Government-NGO partnerships, best practices for organising quality blood donation camps, donor motivation and retention, and greater youth engagement.

Foundation Secretary Rakesh Kumar said the recognition was a proud moment for the entire Mayank Foundation family and acknowledged the collective efforts of its volunteers, donors, members and supporters.

Deepak Sharma, founder said that under the presidentship of Dr. Anirudh Gupta, Mayank Foundation has been working for the past eight years to promote voluntary blood donation in Ferozepur and surrounding areas. The Foundation regularly organises blood donation camps in association with hospitals, blood banks, educational institutions and social organisations, while also focusing on youth engagement and awareness about the importance of blood donation.

The Foundation members thanked the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab, the Health Minister, blood banks, medical teams, donors, volunteers and partner organisations for their continued support.
