Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government is committed to strengthening Sikh-Hindu harmony by embracing the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Also, a Sikh Museum will be established on a 3-acre site in Kurukshetra to honour the legacy of the Gurus and inspire the youth to follow their teachings.

(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)The Chief Minister visited Shri Bohli Sahib Gurdwara in Pehowa to pay homage to Guru Arjan Dev Ji on the occasion of his 419th martyrdom anniversary. Guru Arjan Dev Ji undertook penance at this sacred site. During the visit, Gurdwara head Jathedar Mahendra Singh honoured the Chief Minister with a saropa. Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister joined the congregation in the langar hall and took in prasad of tea.

Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji will continue to inspire generations as a timeless beacon of light in the fight against injustice, exploitation, and oppression. He described Guru Arjan Dev Ji as the illustrious son of the revered Guru Ramdas Ji, and the embodiment of the noble values instilled by his devout mother, Bibi Bhaani Ji. He said that Guru Amardas Ji, impressed by the young Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s sharp intellect, had once predicted that his grandson would become a great compiler of sacred hymns—a prophecy that proved profoundly true.

(SUBHEAD)He said that Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s greatest contribution was his unparalleled martyrdom. Despite enduring brutal torture at the hands of the Mughal rulers, he remained steadfast in his commitment to truth, never compromising his faith or principles. The suffering he endured sitting on a burning iron plate is one of the most profound sacrifices for faith in recorded history. He added that Guru Arjan Dev Ji's legacy is not only a source of pride for the Sikh community but a guiding ideal for the entire nation. “We must preserve and live by the moral and spiritual values inspired by great souls like Guru Arjan Dev Ji,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that Lohgarh in Bhagwanpur is being developed as a major tourism hub. To support this initiative, the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Trust has been established in Lohgarh. Recognizing the deep faith of the people, the government has launched the Golden Jubilee Guru Darshan Yatra Yojana to provide financial assistance to pilgrims from Haryana visiting prominent Sikh religious sites, including Sri Hazur Sahib, Sri Nankana Sahib, Sri Hemkund Sahib, and Sri Patna Sahib.

The Chief Minister also listened to the grievances of the sangat present at Shri Bohli Sahib Gurdwara and directed the concerned officials to ensure prompt resolution. Responding to verbal complaints from some citizens, the Chief Minister advised them to submit their concerns at the Deputy Commissioner's office, assuring them that appropriate action would be taken. He also instructed Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh to give due attention to public grievances and ensure their timely redressal.

On this occasion, Haryana Singh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee head Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal, BJP District President Tejendra Singh Goldy, Jathedar Mahendra Singh, BJP leader Jai Bhagwan Sharma DD, Mandal President Sukhbir Singh and other dignitaries were also present.
