Plaza Zone registered a dominant win over Rock Zone on the concluding day of the UTCA Men's Seniors Multi-Day Tournament being played at the SSCA Cricket Academy, Kandala. Batting first after being invited, Plaza Zone posted a formidable total of 375/6 which was powered by a century from Gaurav Puri (103) and a solid 79-run knock by Gaurav Kaila. In response, Rock Zone crumbled under disciplined bowling and were bundled out for 209. Gaurav Kaila who also chipped in with two wickets was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Meanwhile, at GMSSS-26, Leisure Zone continued their winning streak by defeating Sukhna Zone. After electing to bat, Leisure Zone put up 354 runs on the board led by skipper Ankit Kaushik’s unbeaten century (102). In reply, Sukhna Zone faltered and were bowled out for 209. Pankaj Sharma (3/16) and Harshit Singh (2/26) were instrumental with the ball. Ankit Kaushik was adjudged Player of the Match for his innings.
