USE OF QUADCOPTERS/DRONE CAMERAS NEAR THE IB PROHIBITED

District Magistrate Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, exercising the powers granted under Section 163 of the BNSS, has banned the flying of quadcopters/drone cameras etc. in the 4 km area adjacent to the international border area in Fazilka district.

As per another prohibitory order, she has banned bathing in the canals/streams/rivers flowing in the district. Apart from this, she has also banned keeping and using Pakistani SIM cards in the 4 km area adjacent to the international border area in the district.

The DM has also imposed a complete ban on bringing weapons etc. and firing in the marriage palaces operating in the district. She has also banned the use of DJ (music system), firecrackers and laser lights after 5 pm in the villages near the international border. All these orders will remain in force till August 31, 2025.
