In suppression of earlier notification issued by the Transport Department, Chandigarh Administration vide No. 2/7/109-H-III(7)-2022/4734, dated 31st March, 2022 and in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 67 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh is pleased to issue the directions to the State Transport Authority, Union Territory, Chandigarh :-
From the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the fares chargeable by the operators of A.C. Taxi / Non A.C. Taxi and Ordinary Auto including e-Auto / e-Rickshaw and Bike Taxi in Union Territory, Chandigarh, shall be as under:-
Fare chargeable by the operators AC/Non-AC Taxi / Cab with 4+1 seater or below Rs. 90/- for First 3 Kms and Rs. 25/-per Km for subsequent Kms
AC/Non AC Taxi / Cab with 6+1 Seater or above Rs. 100/- for First 3 Kms and Rs. 28/-per Km for subsequent Kms
Ordinary Auto (Including e-Auto / e-Rickshaw) Rs. 50/- for First 3 Kms and Rs. 13/-per Km for subsequent Kms
Bike Taxi : Rs. 30/- for First 3 Kms and Rs. 09/-per Km for subsequent Kms
