GOVERNMENT TEACHER NABBED FOR MOLESTATION IN GURUHARSAHAI

A Government School teacher working at Government Senior Secondary School of Eminence for Girls at Guruharsahai had been nabbed for allegedly molesting the students of the school.

SSP Bhupinder Singh said that the parents of the students had met him following which a two member committee including a DSP rank officer and the SHO of the concerned area, was constituted. The SSP said that he had discussed the matter with DEO (S) and finally the FIR has been registered.

As per information the erring teacher has been booked under sections 74, 75, and 79 of IPC along with Section 8 of POSCO Act at Guruharsahai police station (FIR No. 205).

(SUBHEAD)Earlier several girls studying in the school posted a letter addressed to the Principal in the complaint box. Later, after the Principal received the written complaints by the girls and he immediately setup an eight member committee to ascertain the matter and find out which girls faced such an issue.

Subsequently, after interacting with several girls, the name of a male teacher surfaced who had allegedly been “molesting” the girl students for the past several months.

Principal Karan Singh Dhaliwal said that he had submitted his report to the DEO (S) Munila Arora who had assured him that strict action shall be taken against the accused teacher.

As per information, a two member enquiry team was constituted by the DEO (S) which went on ground and enquired into the matter. The report of the same was later forwarded to DPI (Secondary) for further action.

Malkit Singh Thind Chairman State Backward Classes Commission had a closed door meeting with the parents of the students who informed the Chairman about the issue.
