Alert troops of the 155 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), deployed near Border Out Post (BOP) KMS Wala, apprehended a Pakistani national who had crossed the international border into Indian territory.

The intruder has been identified as Mujamil Hussain (24), son of Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Mia Channu village in Khanewal district of Pakistan.

According to official sources, BSF personnel on duty noticed suspicious movement across the fencing near border pillar number 190/4. Upon issuing a challenge, the intruder continued advancing and managed to reach nearly 80 metres inside Indian territory before being intercepted.

During a frisking operation, Pakistani currency worth Rs 20 (two notes of Rs 10 each) was recovered from his possession. He was immediately taken to BOP Barrier for preliminary questioning.

Till the filing of this report, the apprehended intruder had not been handed over to the local police, and further investigation was underway.
