AKSHAT SINDHU WINS CYCLEGARH DUATHLON, OVER 50 ATHLETES PARTICIPATED

Akshat Sindhu clinched the top spot in the Male Road 18–40 years category at the Second Edition of the Dualathon organized by Cyclegarh held at New Chandigarh on Sunday.

The endurance event drew enthusiastic participation from over 50 athletes across the Chandigarh tricity and Patiala. The Dualathon tested participants with a combination of 25 km cycling followed by a 6 km run. It was conducted across both men’s and women’s categories.Varun Jain secured the runner-up position while Mankinder Singh finished third in a closely contested race in the same category.

(SUBHEAD)Meanwhile Akshay Singla secured first position in the Male MTB 18–40 category while Aham stole the limelight in the Male Road 15–18 category. In the Male MTB 15–18 category, Jaidev took first place followed by Prince Kumar and Arpit. Among senior participants, Vibhu Mittal won the Male Road Above 40 years category with Narinder Singh finishing second. In the Male MTB Above 40 years category, Jatinder Kumar claimed the top position with Chhavi Kumar and Arun Banka finishing second and third respectively.

In the female categories, RJ Kaur dominated the Road 18–40 years category while Radha emerged victorious in the MTB 18–40 category. Young cyclist Anshika took top honors in the Female MTB 15–18 category. In the senior division, Gurdeep Kaur won the Female Road Above 40 years category.

Expressing her satisfaction, the key organiser, Misha Brar said that the Dualathon is not just a race, it's a celebration of endurance, community and the growing spirit of fitness in this region. Witnessing participants from all age groups push their limits has truly inspired us to organise more events of such nature.”
