JAKHAR TRUST DISTRIBUTES LAPTOPS TO 50 MERITORIOUS GIRL STUDENTS

The Jakhar Trust distributed laptops t0 fifty girl students of government schools who had secured merit in the class 10 exam of Punjab School Education Board. The laptops were presented with laptops by the Jakhar Trust in collaboration with Arcesium LLC. 

MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that seeing the dedication and strong work ethic of these girls, he is sure that they will make full use of these laptops. He said that getting laptops will boost the morale of the girls and they will be able to do better in their studies. This will help them in further studies and career. He said that the Trust is always there to help any student who brings glory to Abohar at state, national level or abroad in any field. 

(SUBHEAD)Vimal Thatai, Mayor, said that untiring efforts were made by the Trust for the betterment of the young generation. Under this, the laptop distribution program has been organized. The “Nashon se Door, Khelon ki Aur” campaign carried out by the Trust was a highly commendable step to keep youths away from drugs.

Gurbachan Singh Sran, a trustee, said that to encourage the youth to move away from drugs and towards sports, many tournaments were organized by the Jakhar Trust in a year. To promote folk and Punjabi culture, the Trust will organize a program 'Mela Teeyan Da' exclusively for women on August 17 in the local Nehru Park.
