Based on credible intelligence, a police team led by Inspector Lekh Raj, SHO Police Station City Fazilka, conducted a raid at village Islamwala under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arniwala. Upon seeing the police party, two wanted criminals, Sahil Josan r/o Chak Chukar and Sukhpal Singh @ Paloo r/o Arniwala attempted to escape. Both got gunshot injuries in their legs. They were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Both were wanted in FIR No. 57 dated 22.04.2025, registered under Sections 103, 351(2), 191(3), 190 BNS and 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act at Police Station City Fazilka. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Sukhwinder Singh, father of deceased Sahilpreet Singh, who was gunned down on 22.04.2025 near Shivpuri Chowk, Fazilka, while returning from a court hearing.
As per the complainant, his son had received life threats days before the incident. On the day of the murder, Sahilpreet was attacked by a group of armed assailants who opened fire after ramming into his car. He died on the spot due to a bullet injury to the head.
Sahil Josan and Sukhpal Singh @ Paloo were among the wanted shooters in this brutal murder case. Sahil had criminal background with nine FIRs including murder, attempt to murder, and Arms Act offences.
Sukhpal Singh @ Paloo also had 9 cases registered including murder, robbery, attempt to murder, and Arms Act violations.
