To celebrate Raksha Bandhan, Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu visited the Sadki Border post and personally tied Rakhis to the brave soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF) guarding the India-Pakistan border. She was accompanied by SDM Veerpal Kaur.

The DC said that the entire nation salutes BSF’ contribution towards ensuring the safety of the country’s brothers and sisters. She said, “Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival of love between brothers and sisters, but a symbol of trust, commitment, and the promise of protection. Today, by tying these Rakhis on the wrists of my brave brothers, I pray that they always remain safe and continue to lead in the service of our nation’s security.”

(SUBHEAD)She said that soldiers posted on the border protect the nation while staying away from their families, and it is our duty to express gratitude and respect towards them.
