The Eco Club of Gopichand Arya Mahila College in collaboration with the National EduTrust of India, organised a unique ‘Rakhi to Tree’ activity under the theme “One Thread, One Tree, One Earth – Forever United.” The event aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and to inspire students to build a lifelong bond with nature.

Around 110 students, along with the entire teaching staff of the college, enthusiastically participated, tying Rakhis to trees as a symbolic pledge to protect and nurture them. This activity, part of the Vriksh Raksha Bandhan celebrations, highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship in the fight against climate change.

Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa congratulated Amandeep Kaur, Coordinator of the Eco Club and Nodal Officer, for organising the event successfully, and extended heartfelt thanks to Samarth Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of the National EduTrust of India, for boosting meaningful activities.

The students and staff took a pledge to safeguard trees and promote sustainable living practices, reinforcing the message that protecting nature is a shared responsibility.
